While certain foods can cause tinnitus, I have never heard of a diet causing it. If your diet is causing the tinnitus then, yes, the tinnitus should resolve once the diet ends. However, if you are only assuming that it is your diet, I suggest you see an otolaryngologist, who may also send you to an audiologist for testing before a final diagnosis is made. This would be the wise thing to do so you can be evaluated and diagnosed to find out the best course of treatment. Do not wait so long that there is permanent damage when this might be a treatable situation.
