I’m a college student and have been under a lot of stress lately due to finals and because I only have 1 more class before I graduate. My tinnitus started a couple days ago after I finished a very stressful class and has been persistent ever sense. I’m never exposed to loud noises or loud music, just lots of stress. What’s odd about the ringing is it will change pitch every few seconds from a moderate ring to a more intense moderate ring to a high pitched loud ring and then back down again; this repeats over and over. I was thinking it might be allergies but Claritin doesn’t seem to help. I’m planning on calling my doctor on Monday to get it checked out because I’ve had sinus infections in the past so I’m hoping it’s treatable. I also suffer from anxiety but I’m not on any meds at the moment.
Blood pressure is normal

So about a week ago after taking a shower, I began to notice this noise from the base of my skull and the neck, left side. It sounds like air or blood or something is moving up, kinda like the soda fizzing but in spurts and it is constant. I do not think it is tinnitus because I think I can almost feel it. I am also fourteen and male. I do have a lot of stress and am pissed alot if that helps. The day before and after I had it, I had a sore throat or something like it, since when I snoreted and spit, I had mucus and sometimes blood. It is very soft and sometimes changes in volume and location but is usually only hearablefrom the left side.
I dont think its tinnitus since it is ver soft and i hear it from one ear only. Tinnitus also from when I have had it feels like it is surronding me.

Hey everyone. Over the course of the last 6 months, I took around 8/9 shots of .40S&W, and just this past Wednesday, 3 shots of .380ACP with no hearing protection (some of the times I did have a hood up though). I have experienced "fullness" in my ears since then, but it is going away. However, when I laid down Thursday night, I noticed a ringing in my ears & I’m afraid it can be Tinnitus. I did some reading & I want to cry. I’ve always used earplugs, but these few times I just made a stupid decision. I know that gun shots can & will destroy your hearing if unprotected, but I had no idea that just a few shots can. I mean, you hear about soldiers having Tinnitus, but that’s after battle & hundreds (if not thousands) of rounds fired. I have a hard time believing & accepting that I destroyed my ears from these few incidents, and very few shots. Music is my life (Rap, Hip Hop) and I’m worried I’ll never hear the beats the same way again. Is it as serious as I’m making myself believe it is? I also have severe anxiety & stress, which isn’t making things any better. I’m 20 years old, and I can’t accept that I did my hearing in from a few shots, I just can’t. Please tell me I’m worrying over something that will pass. I do have a doctor appt this coming week, I’m just trying to find some comfort in this & reassure myself everything’s going to be alright. Thank you guys. I just don’t want to be like my grandfather, he’s 80 & I can never, ever speak to him without him saying "What?" "Huh?" constantly. I am just very scared. I’m afraid I have Tinnitus.

I currently am having ringing in the ears and it is causing much mental pain & stress for me. The reason I am asking this question is cause, I wasn’t hardly eating at all, and when I finally did eat, I only consumed a small bowl of noodles, along with vegetables and sometimes a fruit. Is it true that having a poor diet, not gaining enough weight to become healthy, can result in a person having Tinnitus.
This may not be the reason I have Tinnitus. But I was just wondering, could it? Could my small consumption and poor diet be the reason for my Tinnitus?
