My hearing descreses with noise, then comes back.?
Like when I hear a loud noise, it’s like my ears "close up", thus the sound decreases, and as soon as the noise stops, it comes back (like within a second).
(I’m NOT talking about when your hearing goes out while at a concert and then comes back w/in the next few hours.)
Even little other things, like I go to splash water on my face and the ear thing happens. Like it’s really sensitive. It’s the same feeling you get in your ears like when you yawn really wide, and your hearing decreases a little…like that.
I also have tinnitus and hear white noise all the time (like a "shhhhhh" sound).
And I have gone to the ENT before about it…he thinks its TMJ. It’s just worse now. I have been wearing a store-bought night guard…I wouldn’t think that would make it worse though. My ENT wanted me to get a Rx guard but I couldn’t afford it.
I also have anxiety disorder so this is freaking me out.

That happens to me too and I always assumed it was totally normal! I lost my hearing in one ear due to nerve damage so my other ear has had endless testing and I’m always told it’s fine. Don’t stress! The tinnitus is a diferent issue and it needs to be checked out, but mild tinnitus is also pretty common.
