My ears are ringing after a concert.?
I just came back from a concert. It was Sounds of the Underground, and was at a very big place, so all the bands played loud, plus they’re all metal bands, and I was right next to the speakers for most of the concert, and my ears keep ringing. Usually when I go to concerts it doesn’t bother me, but this one was extremely loud and about 8 or 9 hours long. My left ear is ringing really bad and I can’t hear out of it very well. I don’t know if being at a concert can cause tinnitus (or whatever it is). How long will the ringing last, and will I get back full hearing or not, because I’m almost completely deaf in my left ear right now.
Ok its been ringing for a few hours, and it started after I got in the car that was quiet. I’ve been to a lot of concerts and near the speakers, but they haven’t ever bothered me. It’s just that this concert was the loudest one I’ve been to.
It’s been a day now, and this is the 1st time this has ever happened, so Ill just wait, but I read something about a disorder called tinitus or something like that. I was wondering if I could have this from the concert and if my hearing will get fully back to normal. They are still ringing and my hearing is a lot better.

Right now, the only thing you can do is wear hearing protection during the concerts you go to….if you like to go to concerts, do yourself this favor and wear hearing protection…i know it’s not too cool for a younger person to do this, but if you can imagine what life is going to be like without any hearing?
Remember not to expose yourself to any loud stuff in a next few days…let your ears settle down, and your ringing will go away…but it might take a few days….I have experienced this when I was younger, and my hearing isn’t the best today since I didn’t wear hearing protection………….watch your music levels with your MP3, your stereo in your car, and at home too….
You might have damaged your ear drum. Talk to your doctor about it, he could help.
It should go away after a few hours but if you wake up tomorrow and it’s still bad, call a doctor on Monday…
Same thing happened to me. It went away the next day.
I mentioned it to my doctor and he said the little villi in the inner ear can become damaged by really loud music.
Have a doctor look at it you still can’t hear or can’t hear as clearly as you did before the concert.
could be anywhere from a day to weeks. I have had this happen every time I go to a concert and have now lost some hearing. So, wear ear plugs next time! You may look stupid, but in the long run the ones that don’t are the stupid ones.
concert is a huge public gathering where we have to heard about very high volume so that our ears are not allowed this so that we have face this problem. I think it is natural and it will be ok after 1 or 2 hours.
It was great to know about the tinnitus and that article was really awesome. They are providing lots of facilities so it will be a great experience to have it. Any ways keep sharing.
