I'm looking for a decent air purifier with a permanent filter that isn't silent. We need white noise! Help?
I want to get an air purifier for our bedroom. No specific health concerns, we would just like to breathe cleaner air. I would like to spend around 0. Ideally, it would have a permanent filter. The big thing is the noise. My husband has tinnitus and needs white noise to sleep. We currently use a fan. I would like the air purifier to replace the fan noise. Any suggestions?

These are also sold by Sears, with a "Kenmore" sticker over the "5 seaons" brand sticker.
Permanent filter, needs a rinse in the sink every so often. Uses electrostatic precipitation method.
For white noise, you can also tune an AM radio to an unassigned frequency, and crank the dial up; or ask your nearest computer nerd to burn a CD with a wave file containing random values. Then put the CD on repeat.
