See a doctor and get a referral to a specialist to get some relief. Also, you want to determine whether or not there is an underlying medical condition.,
I have tinnitus as well, but mine is bilateral and not pulsatile. You have my empathy. I use a white-sound generator, which just sounds like rushing air, in order to sleep. And I always have some sort of noise going in the room. You can also get fitted for a special hearing-aid type device that uses a high-frequency sound to mask the tinnitus and improve your hearing. Talk to your doctor, and ask him to refer you to an otolaryngologist (and ear-nose-and-throat guy). He will be able to help. My best wishes to you.
get help immediately from your ENT doc!!! if you cant go to the doctor at this time, it is best to rest and dont strain much as this will elevate your blood pressure and will worsen the condition.
Hi, you’re not alone. I know this may not help you right now, but I know I had a lot of anxiety when I first started experiencing pulsatile tinnitus because I thought it was only me. I agree with the posters above that it’s important to get medical attention. There are many, many possible causes of pulsatile tinnitus, so it’s important to see a doctor who is familiar with all the possible causes. A neurotologist may help more than an ENT. Just kep that in mind if the ENT doesn’t see anything abnormal. There are lots of tips and stories from other pulsatile tinnitus sufferers at whooshers dot com. Hang in there.
