They are durable... enough. I seriously don't know how people break them so easily. I've had mine since they first came out, which was about a year ago or so. They're better than the Smokin' Buds because the wires are rubberized and they're not so stiff. One thing almost everybody messes up on is wrapping your headphones up around your MP3 player. This is NOT what you should do. It's not good to wrap up your headphones because over time, your wires will wear down and break, and that's probably what happened with yours, no? I'm not accusing you of not treating your headphones well, but that seems to be the problem with a lot of people. You could wrap them up, but not too tight and you have to make sure you still have some slack at the end of the jack so the wire isn't bending at all, but it still flexes up so that there's no tension on it, but the wire is still able to be wrapped up around the MP3 player.
