I call bullshit on that last comment - while yes, there is a general tendency for schizophrenia to start in the 20s, which of course varies by a number of other demographics such as gender, family history, type of schizophrenia, etc. An extreme of beating the demographics would be this case example: http://www.latimes.com/features/health/la-he-schizophrenia29-2009jun29,0,4834892.story *Nothing* is impossible as far as schizophrenia is concerned - general rules are hard to come by, and loose correlations are all anyone can really come up with. Just clarifying.

That being said, this doesn\'t smell like schizophrenia to me. :-) Be careful with yourself. Just because you\'re easily made anxious doesn\'t mean you need to leap to a diagnosis, just need to be self aware. Best of luck.

sometimes this happens to me when ive listened to a song a lot and it will just come back to me all of a sudden. its not tinnitus. tinnitus is ringing, and it happens all the time, not just certain times.

You can stop this by helping yourself NOT watch scary movies, especially at night... That's something I never do - because I get easily scared, and that would mess me up. It easy to think things up in your mind, especially if you can relate it to some scary movie you just watched, which is not healthy.

Sometimes I can make myself hear things, which aren't happening. We can all do that. But once you are conscious of it, you can control it.

Good luck.

Actually, you have an anxiey disorder. People with anxiety disorders may hear things that aren't there, but they are often just little noises/beeping etc. like you have been hearing.

Get put on some anti-anxiety meds.

From the little you have told us, it doesn't sound like paranoia or schizophrenia. My advice is stop watching horror films before you go to bed.
