I went to a dance at my high school and the music was pretty loud. My left ear has been ringing since Friday night. I’m pretty worried about my ear. Lol D:

My father is a jazz musician and deaf as a post. Why not wear hearing protection? Does it mute your ability to hear the nuances of the music, like when in an orchestra? Is there a type of hearing protection that musicians can appreciate?
