So i went to a concert on Thursday which was 2 days ago and my ears have been ringing since then. All my friends that went said their ears stopped ringing like a day ago, but it was my first hardcore rock concert and they have been to many. Is there something wrong with me? or is it just taking longer for it to go away for me?
The other night I was alone in my room and I heard this whirring noise distinctly and directly beside my left ear (NOT inside the ear). It sounded like one of those long straw-like toys I had when I was a kid where you wave it in circle over your head and it makes a loud whirring noise. It was very abrupt and hasn’t happened again.
Tonight my best friend who lives next door described the exact same issue..also directly but not inside her LEFT ear.
The whirring lasted for less than 3 seconds and like I said has not happened again.
I’ve heard of tinnitus but the symptoms do not match what happened to us. I’ve searched all over the internet from medical causes to paranormal causes and I haven’t had any luck.
Does anyone have any clue as to what this could have been?

Edit: It is NOT an ear infection.

my friend told me today he has had tinnitus for the last 9 months and only recently went to the doctor the other day he is booked in to see a specialist on 19 oct is it possible he might not have it for the rest of his life and it could still be short term
I always have a ringing in my ears. It becomes very apparent when it is quiet out or when I want to go to sleep. What could cause this? I don’t listen to music loud at all and I’ve had it since I was very little but it seems like its more apparent now (I’m 19). Is there any way to help it?
I also get distracted extremely easily when trying to study by noises and I HATE when people are crunching on loud food. Could this be related to tinnitus?
Hi,
Since a few days I hear a continious shrill and piercing noise in my right ear. This does not prevent me from hearing normal sounds however loud or soft but it becomes quite annoying.
Could anyone possibly assist?
Thanks
