tinnitus is a ringing phenomenon in the ear that has no specific cause. Some beleive that is attributed by excessive noise causing ear damage or harded ear wax.

I am asking because i suffer from tinnitus and if I miss my depression medicine, the saound increases. Sounds like motor engines running.
Edit : I changed my medication recently and the sound increased
What helps me is listening to relaxation music or natural sounds on youtube. it relaxes my mind and covers up the sound. I gives you a break moreorless.

My dad needed some hearing protection earmuffs and asked for them for Father’s Day. The ones I got have a noise reduction level of 27dB. Is this decent?

They’re just for mowing the lawn, working with loud tools, etc. because he’s starting to have hearing problems and so he needs to protect his hearing as much as possible.

Someone told me if you don’t have enough B12 then your ears will ring. Is this true? Should I go get a multi B vitamin and start taking it?

I think i might have Tinnitus my mom wants me to wait and see if it will go away but i am not sure. It started 2 nights ago and i still have it. I think i may have fluid in my ear or something or ear wax because my ears do get dirty a lot but i try to clean them out when ever i remember but i just cleaned them out a day b4 it happen. Could i have damage a bone or something ? not that i went in deep wen i cleaned it out. I only hear it at night not during the day probably b/c i have to much going on in the day to notice it. My mom said sometimes my step dad gets this but he is old and i am not old i am only 16 years old.

I have not had heard any loud sounds lately except for my sisters little girl but i dought that was the cause of it b/c i see her a lot and trust me she is loud sometimes.

If i have Tinnitus how can i get rid of it without going to doctor ?

because i do not think my mom wants me to go the doctor for this. how long should i wait to go the doctor?

I have no history of mental illnesses, i don’t think this is a mentel issue because i am acting just fine no suicidal thoughts or anger coming from me i am perfectly normal.

Any advice?
