Ok.. well I am 20 and I have had ongoing health problems for 7 years, but a year and a half ago I started getting really bad hypothyroid symptoms – I put on 60 pounds over a few months and then stopped gaining weight/haven’t been able to lose any. tired all the time, digestive problems, memory loss, irregular periods, distended abdomen, depression, tinnitus.. all of this for almost 2 years
I had an abnormal blood test in June that showed elevated TSH levels and low estrogen/progesterone/testosterone/cortisol. But I had an incompetent doctor then who read it wrong. Earlier this month I switched doctors and he read it and sent me for further blood tests, which came back almost normal. I haven’t got them myself, but an endocrinologist read them and he told me the levels were normal
so I am back to the drawing board for the billionth time.. we have looked at almost everything.. my doctor implied that it could be stress causing these symptoms but I have to wonder.. to this degree?? I know I’ve posted in here a lot, but I am still trying to figure this out. my doctor is on vacation for the rest of the month..
if it’s relevant at all, I have Meniere’s disease symptoms, I am not on any birth control, and haven’t felt like myself for over 4 years..
oops sorry, my estrogen was normal in June, and that last abnormal test result ("corti..") is cortisol
