I have had swooshing noises in my left ear whenever I lay down or when I bend down. This has been going on for 3 months, not to mention the 24/7 lightheadedness.
I’ve had a Carotid Ultrasound and MRI with contrast to see if it was due to some kind of narrowing or blockage that I could have the pulsatile tinnitus. But everything is fine.
I’m not anemic or diabetic.
Just have high cholesterol.
Any ideas???
No rude answers please.
My doctors can’t figure out why I have it or what to do about it. Any suggestions? Or ideas why I have this problem?
I’m only 21 years old and I never listen to loud music EVER. I don’t even own an ipod.
My husband has tinnitus and he’s so miserable! He bought a small fountain that makes a noise that masking the problem. But, the sound it makes keeps me up at night. I may get earplugs, but I wish there was a way he could get better, or another way to help him sleep that would not keep me up all night.
Help!
"First he needs to avoid all aspirin products and wear hearing protection around loud noises.. Aspirin is a leading cause of tinnitus. He needs to be evaluated by a Physician as this can be a sign of many problems."
He’s doing these things the doctor said to try some "white noise" so we got the fountain.
Hi everyone.
I’m a 21 year old female. I am about 5’11” and weigh 240 pounds (Yes, I am obese). Over the past few years, I have occasionally experienced dizziness and temporary black outs (they last for 2-5 seconds) when standing up. Somedays it does not happen, but somedays it does. Its occurrence also varies within the day. It gets really bad when I have my period. However, over the past few days I’ve been experiencing it really bad, and I am not on my period. Whenever I get up, I feel a rush of blood to my head and I black out for about 2-5 seconds, and then my vision comes back. I also I also have pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear, which feels like how it does when your ear needs to pop on an airplane. I was just at the doctor a few months ago and got a blood test for a physical exam, and the results were all perfect. My blood pressure was fine too. I’ve thought it could be orthostatic hypotension or idiopathic intracranial hypertension, but I am really not sure. So, I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar to this?
Thank you!
