I was on antibiotics for a bacterial infection for about a month. I’ve been off them for 2 weeks now.

Since I finished my antibiotics, I’ve noticed (perhaps unrelated) ringing in my right ear and head pressure as well. The ringing is not consistent, and can range from a throbbing sacada (kaddidid bug) sound to a constant fire alarm like sound. It "seems" like the degree of head pressure and headache I’m having affects the ringing. Last night, I felt bad and just went to bed. I woke up about 10pm and had that louder fire alarm like ringing. From there until midnight, it slowly got better until I was nearly having silence. We had a large storm system move through and maybe the pressure changed and my head got some relief. I just don’ t know. But, I got to lay in relative silence and listen to the rain hit our skylight. Best I felt in 2 weeks. This morning, I woke up feeling pretty good too. But, it seems like any significant sound will cause the ringing to restart.

Anyone have any ideas? I’m under the impression real and chronic tinnitus due to hearing loss and ear damage is not something that varies and comes and goes, but more consistent and constant.

I am getting ready to go do an Advanced Scuba Diving course. This course should take me to the depth of 40 meters. Will that make my tinnitus better or worse?
