Yesterday, as i got up from my bed i got light-headed and i know it was from low blood pressure from getting up to fast (postural hypotension) but i also got a loud hissing sound (tinnitus) in my ear and i never ever have gotten this before when i get lightheaded i usually just get tunnel vision. Why did i get this hissing sound? How does low blood pressure effect the ears?

My ears have been ringing for about the past three days and it seems as if I really notice it when I am about to go to sleep because there is not much noise. What can be causing this? This is really annoying. I have been taking a lot of aspirin lately so I don’t know if that could be causing it. Help, this has me feeling as I am going crazy. What should I do? Should this leave by itself? I don’t want to go to my doctor about this because I doesn’t seem to be anything really serious. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey all,

I have a Motorola RAZR V6 MAXX, and recently the ear piece does not make any noise when I am go to call someone. The phone will still ring when someone calls me, but once I open it, I am met with silence. I can’t claim warranty on it as its warranty is gone, so I was wondering if anyone knew of a way I could repair it myself? From what I can gather, something is probably wrong with the wiring to the ear piece.

Many Thanks.

Four family members of various ages hear the sound in one room only. My son cannot sleep in his bedroom where the noise is heard. We checked all electrical devices and toys, windows (thought it might be crickets and is not), television, lava lamp, smoke detector, etc. You cannot hear the noise in his closet or the hallway or any other room in the house. We even took his wristwatch out of the room. It is a constant, barely audible, high pitched sound as if your ears are ringing and the sound is not real, yet you get an eye/and headache if in his room for more than a few minutes. What else could it be??? What else should we check? He is sleeping in the spare bedroom for now, since it is unbearable. Myself and husband in our 30’s hear it, as well as my son who is 10, and our daughter who is 6. This is not a joke, or riddle…..so please offer only serious suggestions. Thank you!
